This week we completed planting the 2023 corn crop. We did have to replant in a few soybeans in Champaign and Douglas counties that drowned out from too much water. Overall the crop is off to a great start. The side-dress bars started applying the next phase of nitrogen to the corn at the end of this week. The spray crews are now focusing on post emergence herbicide passes in both corn and soybeans.

The office will be closed Monday for Memorial Day. We are thankful for the freedom we have but understand that those freedoms were not free. This Memorial Day we remember and thank those who gave their life for these freedoms.
