February has been another mild month this winter in Central IL. The trucks are hauling grain to the market and the shop is busy working on equipment and preparing for the planting season!

Soybean Harvest
This week has been busy with soybean harvesting as all the soybeans are now ready to be cut. Chisels and striptill bars have been doing tillage as the fields are harvested and fertilized for the 2024 crops.

Recent Rains Bring Growth
The recent rains have been a great blessing in central IL! The crops have responded by growing taller this last week. Corn pollination has started this past week.

June 23, 2026 Farm update
Ed Gingerich, one of the founding members of Gingerich Farms passed away this week. The memories of his love and passion for us is everywhere here and we honor his life with visitation Monday June 29 1pm-3pm 5pm-7pm. Funeral is June 30 at 10am. All services at Arthur Mennonite Church in Arthur IL.
