We have not been able to start planting due to wet conditions. Rained .63" this week and forecast is for more this weekend.

Week started with bitter cold temperatures, snowed on Wednesday and then forecasting thunderstorms on Saturday.

The beginning of this week brought warm temperatures. By Friday, there is a winter storm warning. The ever changing weather of Illinois.

June 23, 2026 Farm update
Ed Gingerich, one of the founding members of Gingerich Farms passed away this week. The memories of his love and passion for us is everywhere here and we honor his life with visitation Monday June 29 1pm-3pm 5pm-7pm. Funeral is June 30 at 10am. All services at Arthur Mennonite Church in Arthur IL.
